Pine Creek Golf Club
Opened in the Spring of 1988, Pine Creek Golf Club is a premier public golf course in Colorado Springs. Designed by noted golf course architect Richard Phelps, this 18-hole championship course is both physically and mentally demanding. The Pine Creek Golf Club offers four tee boxes per hole, and ranges from a front-tee (green) length of 4,882 yards to over 7,241 yards for the championship (gold) tees. Pine Creek Golf Club is known as “the player’s choice.”
Winding through the Pine Creek Valley, the course features natural grasslands and wandering creek beds that come into play on 15 of the 18 holes. On the front nine, you’ll be challenged by the canyon-style course, while the back nine features an American-style links course. Adding to the challenge are a variety of trees, lakes, bunkers, and 376 feet of elevation change. Each hole offers breathtaking views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire skyline of Colorado Springs.

Pike's Peak Cog Railway
New trains, new depot, new Summit Visitor Center, new track, and one of the most unique experiences in the world climbing to the top of Pikes Peak since 1891. This area inspired “America the Beautiful” written by Katharine Lee Bates, whose experience in 1893 on top of Pikes Peak moved her to pen the poem that became one of the most patriotic songs honoring America.
Train ride takes you 9 miles up to the summit of Pikes Peak but the journey transports you back in time. Enter Pike National Forest, travel along Ruxton Creek, by Diamond Rock, within the steep, rocky walls of Englemann Canyon, past stacked boulder formations, a striking waterfall, and through Deer Park. Move up Son of a Gun Hill, through the Icebox, a cool shaded canyon, past the remains of Halfway House Hotel, eventually moving above timberline, where the views get more expansive. In addition, hear the stories of historical points and significant people who shaped the region along the way.
